I wanted to stay loose in this small 8″ x 10″ piece that I painted from a photograph I had taken on country road in Indiana. I used a pallet knife for most of the painting and a small brush to put in the details of the barns and grain bins.

Every time I walk this path next to Fall Creek in Indianapolis I find new inspiration. On this particular Fall day I was inspired by the lovely Autumn hues of the trees and the interesting shadows that stretched across the pavement. I took a picture of the view to paint later.
