Indiana artist Sandy Roob grew up in the country’s heartland. As a farmer’s daughter she finds inspiration for her oil paintings from rural landscapes and nature scenes of water and woods. Her work provides a sense of place and offers a window into the Midwest and other locations she loves.
Roob uses earth tones, fresh colors, and lively brushstrokes or a palette knife to create her unique impressionistic style. The artist continually gathers inspiration for her work by snapping pictures on her iPhone during walks, bike rides, and her travels.
